Last King of the Cross

Produced for Paramount+, this TV production tells the story of John Ibrahim’s rise to prominence.

Phil and his fight choreographer Sean Harnett brought a realistic approach in designing nearly 30 fight scenes featured in the series.

Part of the brief was training the lead actors - Lincoln Younes and Claude Jabbour - who gave it their all in some very demanding action sequences.

Transfusion

This film was a great opportunity for Phil and his team. The five stunt sequences in Transfusion were all crucial in telling the story. Phil worked closely with director Matt Nable to design the film’s car crash, fight scenes and shootouts.

The t-bone car crash was the highlight for Phil and he once again teamed up with Ben Toyer who converted the car to rear steer from the passenger side. It was a big impact but perfect, with all going to plan.

Blaze

Phil coordinated his first feature film - Blaze - in 2020. Central to the story is a brutal sexual assault scene. It involved a female character being pulled off a wall and landing hard on her face.

Andrea Berchtold was the Assistant Stunt Coordinator, and with his vast experience as a stunt rigger, he and Phil were able to create a very graphic and disturbing piece of action. Nandalie Campbell Killick was the stunt double and nailed every take.

Barons

An ABC show with a great cast based on the surf culture and an opportunity in the 1970’s that Phil had the opportunity to work on as Stunt Coordinator. It was mainly a few fights and not very stunt heavy but a fun show to work on.

Mark Duncan was the original Stunt Coordinator for the project but was unfortunately unable to complete the show due to Covid lockdowns.

Pieces of Her

This Netflix series was a great opportunity for Phil. He was working as Assistant Stunt Coordinator to Tony Lynch which also required him to step up as Additional Stunt Coordinator on occasions. Tony had pitched the idea of a T-Bone / Cannon car crash for the crash sequence. This was before the “Wolf Like Me” one mentioned in a previous post. Phil’s eyeline for this crash was not great and there were some challenges for the hit car to overcome but the end result was a success.

Wolf Like Me

This is the third time that Phil has been able to work with director Abe Forsythe. Stunt coordinator Tony Lynch set up a T-Bone / Cannon car crash for the opening sequence. You can see it in this trailer.

Ben Toyer was driving the cannon car and Philip Partridge was in the T-bone car. The timing was spot on.

Mr Inbetween

With stunt coordinator Tony Lynch and director Nash Edgerton this was always going to be a great job. Phil was lucky enough to work on all 3 seasons of the show as a Stunt Performer, Assistant Stunt Coordinator and additional Stunt Coordinator.

The torch that Philip Partridge performed as the stunt double for Brad McMurray made the season 3 trailer.
